How to choose the first AI chatbot workflow
The first AI chatbot workflow should be narrow enough to test and important enough to matter. Good candidates have repetitive questions, clear approved answers, low operational risk, and a measurable outcome such as fewer tickets, faster first response, or more qualified leads.
Score each candidate by volume, answer confidence, customer impact, handoff complexity, and business value. Product FAQs, shipping policies, pricing questions, and onboarding docs often win because teams already have approved content.
Avoid starting with the riskiest edge cases. Refund exceptions, angry customers, medical-style advice, legal questions, and account-specific billing can still be supported by AI, but they need handoff rules before automation goes live.
