The work

What you will actually own.

This is the day-to-day scope of the role, not an aspirational list.

Build and maintain the chat widget that loads on customer storefronts and marketing sites.

Keep the bundle small and the load impact negligible, because the widget is on other people's revenue pages.

Make the widget resilient to hostile CSS, conflicting scripts, and unusual page structures.

Meet WCAG accessibility requirements for keyboard use, screen readers, and focus management.

Support right-to-left layouts and multiple languages without forking the codebase.

Requirements

What we are looking for.

If you meet most of these but not all, apply anyway and tell us how you would close the gap.

Essential

  • Four or more years in frontend engineering with deep JavaScript and TypeScript fundamentals.
  • Real experience with browser performance work: bundle size, render timing, and lazy loading.
  • Practical accessibility knowledge, tested with actual assistive technology rather than a linter.
  • Cross-browser debugging skill, including on mobile Safari.
  • Care about interaction detail, animation timing, and how a component feels to use.

Nice to have

  • Experience shipping a third-party embed, SDK, or widget.
  • Knowledge of Shadow DOM and style isolation techniques.
  • Right-to-left layout experience, particularly Arabic.
