The work

This is the day-to-day scope of the role, not an aspirational list.

Design end to end, from problem framing and flows through to production-ready interface detail.

Own the interaction design for conversation review, knowledge management, and handoff configuration.

Design chat experiences that make it obvious when AI is answering and when a person has taken over.

Maintain and extend the design system alongside engineering rather than in a separate file.

Test designs with real users and change your mind when the evidence says to.

Requirements

Four or more years designing complex software, ideally B2B tools rather than marketing sites.
A portfolio showing your reasoning and tradeoffs, not only finished screens.
Strong systems thinking and comfort maintaining a component library.
Enough understanding of frontend constraints to design things that can be built.
Accessibility as a default consideration rather than a final review step.

Experience designing for AI products and communicating uncertainty in an interface.
Right-to-left and multilingual interface design experience.
Ability to prototype in code.
