The work

This is the day-to-day scope of the role, not an aspirational list.

Ship features across the stack in TypeScript and Next.js, from schema design to the final interaction detail.

Build the workspace surfaces where teams manage knowledge sources, review flagged conversations, and configure handoff rules.

Work directly with customers on the problems you are solving instead of receiving them pre-translated as tickets.

Keep the codebase something the next engineer can move quickly in, including tests, types, and honest documentation.

Review other engineers' work and write up the tradeoffs behind decisions that will outlive the pull request.

Requirements

If you meet most of these but not all, apply anyway and tell us how you would close the gap.

Five or more years building production web applications, with real depth in TypeScript.
Strong React and Next.js experience, including where the App Router helps and where it gets in the way.
Comfort designing relational data models and the APIs on top of them.
A track record of owning features from ambiguous problem to shipped and measured.
Clear written communication, because most of our decisions happen in writing.

Experience with multi-tenant SaaS and the isolation problems that come with it.
Work on products with an embeddable widget or third-party script.
Familiarity with LLM application patterns such as retrieval, evaluation, or prompt versioning.
