The work
What you will actually own.
This is the day-to-day scope of the role, not an aspirational list.
Own deployment, monitoring, and alerting across our infrastructure, currently VPS-based with nginx and PM2.
Build CI/CD that makes shipping routine and rollback boring.
Define and track meaningful availability and latency targets rather than vanity uptime figures.
Lead incident response and write postmortems that produce actual fixes.
Harden the platform: TLS, secrets management, backups, and restores that have been tested.
Requirements
What we are looking for.

Essential
- Four or more years in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering.
- Strong Linux fundamentals and comfort operating production servers directly.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
- Practical monitoring and observability experience, including alerting people will not ignore.
- Calm judgment during incidents and clear communication while one is ongoing.
Nice to have
- Experience migrating from VPS hosting to managed or containerised infrastructure.
- Cost optimisation work on infrastructure or inference spend.
- Security hardening or compliance readiness experience.
