The work
What you will actually own.
This is the day-to-day scope of the role, not an aspirational list.
Write and maintain setup guides, integration documentation, and API reference material.
Own the onboarding documentation that determines whether a new customer succeeds in their first week.
Turn recurring support questions into documentation, then verify the tickets actually decrease.
Test every instruction you publish by following it yourself on a clean account.
Keep the docs current as the product changes, including deprecations.
Requirements
What we are looking for.

Essential
- Three or more years writing technical documentation for a software product.
- Ability to read code and API specifications well enough to document them accurately.
- Genuinely clear writing, with a preference for short sentences over impressive ones.
- Experience with docs-as-code workflows and version control.
- Willingness to push back when a feature is too confusing to document well.
Nice to have
- Experience documenting APIs and SDKs.
- Background in developer relations or technical support.
- Familiarity with information architecture for large documentation sets.
